If you follow our socials, you have probably seen some of our ambassadors' trucks rocking Anthem Off-Road wheels. Brand Ambassadors are a great way for the public to see our wheels in action. Today we will be doing a spotlight on one of our ambassadors: Nick Sommer. He is driving a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD and he is sporting the Anthem Off-Road Avengers.
About the Owner
Nick Sommer is from a small town in Central New Jersey called Milltown. Milltown has a population of 6,893 people and is about a mile in radius. He works for the department of public works and is also a volunteer firefighter on the side for two departments near him. His interests other than building trucks are hunting and fishing. He became interested in Chevy trucks as a child and grew up in a Chevy household. He fell in love with his father's 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and ended up buying it from him. His obsession with building vehicles started here, he went through six different sets of wheels and tires on the 2008 Silverado. Then he found Anthem wheels and knew they were the perfect fit for him and his next build. You can find him @dirtybass_6.6 on Instagram, he said to feel free to ask him any questions on there if you have any.
About the Build
Nick found his 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD and knew he had to have it. It was his dream truck. It is a white truck with black and chrome accents. He started his build with the Anthem Off-Road Gunner. He later switched to the Anthem Off-Road Avenger wheel in a 20x12 and a black and milled finish. He paired these with a Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ P3 305/55. He uses this truck not only for shows but also as his daily driver. So it is important to him that the truck is still able to perform. He is running a Kryptonite leveling kit for his suspension, this has upper controls and fox shocks. He wanted to keep ride quality but still have an aggressive stance.
He has done many other modifications in his truck build including under the hood he has a 6.6L LML Duramax that's pushing just over 600whp and about 1000 ft/lbs of torque. He achieved this by a FASS 165 lift pump, WCFAB Duramax Up pipes, Intercooler Piping, 1-piece intake, Y-Bridge, and tuning to bring everything together. Behind all of that is a 3-inch straight pipe to a 5-inch straight pipe and a 7-inch tip. He has Kryptonite Tie Rod Ends, Center Link, Idler and Pitman Arms as well in the front end for safe 4x4 boosted launches to support all the power. Finally, all of the chrome has been color-matched that came on the truck, he has added 5% tints all the way around, and he has added 1500 LTZ LED Tail Lights. He also uses the KARBON Shine products to keep his wheels looking good as new at all times.
